Privacy Policy

1 · What we collect

There are two entirely separate categories of data here and they are governed differently. The first is your account data: your name, your email address, your organisation, what you clicked and what you configured. We hold it because we cannot run your account without it, and the lawful basis is the contract between us.

The second is public Reddit content that matched your keywords. That is covered in the next section, because it is the part that actually needs explaining.

2 · Reddit content

We store public Reddit posts and comments matched to your keywords under a commercial data agreement with Reddit. When a redditor deletes content, it is removed from your account within 24 hours, including from exports we have already generated.

We do not build profiles of individual redditors, and we do not sell or redistribute comment bodies or usernames to third parties.

3 · Sub-processors

We use a small number of sub-processors to host the service, deliver email and process payments. The current list, what each one handles and where it sits is published on the sub-processor page, and we give thirty days' notice before adding one, with a right to object.

Our AI provider is contractually zero-retention. Reddit content is never used to train a model — ours or anybody else's.

4 · Retention

Reddit content is retained for the window your plan sets, and that window is on the pricing page rather than in this document, so the two cannot drift apart. Account data is kept while your account is open and for thirty days after you close it, at which point it is purged.

If our data access from Reddit is withdrawn, we delete the Reddit-derived corpus and everything derived from it. That obligation sits above your retention window and we would rather you knew it now than found out later.

5 · Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction of it, a copy of it in a portable format, or its deletion. Redditors whose content we hold have the same rights over that content and do not need a Mentionr account to exercise them.

Use the data request form. We acknowledge within 72 hours and complete within 30 days.
